Mark Occhilupo stunned the surfing world by capturing the world title in 1999 at the age of 33. It was a long overdue victory for the 'Raging Bull' who was one of surfing's true child prodigies who captivated the world with the greatest backside surfing ever witnessed at both J-Bay and Bells. It was the kind of surfing that may never be repeated. But Occy's other great legacy is that he was one of the most popular surfers ever on tour. He is a great guy, warm-hearted, funny, kind, caring… an all round waterman and still as stoked on sharing surfing as ever before.
