The Tiger Tour - A Deluxe New Zealand Golf and Land Experience

Our inaugural Tiger Tour combines the best golf courses in the world, New Zealand's finest lodges and warm, friendly New Zealand characters. The Tiger Tour is the personal vision of Julian H. Robertson, the property's creator.
Experience Julian's favourite destinations, taste the best wine and fine dining New Zealand has to offer, stay in luxury lodges and enjoy the stunning vistas and challenging terrain of award-winning golf courses, all in one remarkable package.
Starting in the sub-tropical far north and concluding in the alpine lake village of Queenstown, the Tiger Tour takes in some of the most unique, contrasting and untouched scenery in the world, from private pink sand beaches and spectacular volcanoes, to lakes and mountains, and breathtaking glaciers.

Incorporating the best of New Zealand's north and south islands, the Tiger Tour features eight nights, three lodges and incredibly unique destinations. Quite simply, this intimate tour focuses on experiencing the best and most unique activities in New Zealand.

March: 12th - 14th
Looking out to the Pacific Ocean, the Cavalli Islands and Cape Brett provide a stunning backdrop for the 18 hole David Harman designed golf course. Fifteen holes boast breath taking views of the Pacific ocean, while six play alongside cliffs that plunge down to the sea. Kauri Cliffs is ranked among the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World. The property boasts beautiful private beaches, tranquil nature walks and spectacular views and the region offers sailing, deep sea game fishing cultural history. The highly acclaimed Lodge at Kauri Cliffs offers discerning travellers the utmost luxury and dining is exquisite, yet relaxed.
Kauri Cliffs Spa menu features a range of rejuvenating and relaxing treatments in a tranquil, private indoor- outdoor setting.
Day One: Gourmet barbeque lunch, 18 holes of golf, cocktails hosted by Julian Robertson followed by a five course dinner. Day Two: Discover the property on horseback, go sailing or enjoy another round of golf. Cocktails, canapes and dinner. Day Three: Jet off in our helicopter, then explore the nature trails on foot or bike, before a five course degustation dinner in the Tiger Room.

March: 15th - 17th
Our second destination is The Farm at Cape Kidnappers, located in the heart of Hawke’s Bay Wine Country. The property features a world-renowned golf course designed by Tom Doak. Playing high above the Pacific atop soaring cliffs, Cape Kidnappers offers challenging terrain and dramatic sea views, hailed as one of golf's modern marvels and has received numerous awards including a ranking among the Top 50 golf courses in the world. The Cape is home to the world’s largest mainland gannet colony, lodge guests can visit this on foot or by quad bike. Further afield lies New Zealand’s premier wine region and vibrant Napier City, the Art Deco Capital of the world. Dining can be enjoyed in one of many intimate and unique spaces throughout the lodge, all offering breathtaking views across Hawke's Bay. The Spa at Cape Kidnappers offers guests a range of treatments to rejuvenate and refresh.
Day One: Private wine tasting and tour at the iconic Te Awa Vineyard. Complete your day with cocktails, canapes and a degustation dinner at The Farm.
Day Two: 18 holes of golf at the award winning Cape Kidnappers course. Enjoy our unique Kiwi Bird Discovery Walk, track and interact with a rare Kiwi bird in the wild, the national symbol of New Zealand. Finish with a wonderful dinner at the Lodge.
Day Three: Explore The Farm by quad bike, take an art class or enjoy a second round of golf. Completed with cocktails, canapes and farewell dinner.

March: 18th - 20th
Our journey of New Zealand concludes at the new Matakauri Lodge. Nestled in forest above Lake Wakatipu, Matakauri provides an intimate setting for some of the most exciting aspects of your trip. Aside from its reputation as the 'Adventure Capital of the World', Queenstown boasts great wine and cuisine, and is the gateway to the beautiful Milford Sound. All suites offer dramatic mountain views, Matakauri offers a range of indoor and outdoor and private dining options. A full-service luxury spa, outdoor infinity pool and fitness centre are available to guests.
Day One: Amisfield's winemaker guided tour and 5-course lunch at the winery. Relax at the lodge. Welcome dinner with Jay Robertson.
Day Two: Discover majestic Fiordland by helicopter then dinner with landscape artist Peter Beadle.
Day Three: 18 holes at Jack’s Point or explore the Dart River on a wilderness safari. Afternoon at leisure in Queenstown.
